Project Overview

Meadows are critical ecosystems within the Sierra Nevada that provide essential habitat for wildlife, store groundwater, and support biodiversity. There are 1,407 meadows in the HELP region, of which 220 meadows greater than five acres are degraded. The HELP Meadows Project focuses on restoring degraded meadow systems and protecting healthy ones to ensure their ecological function for future generations.

Restoration Activities
